Wednesday 4th  June  – Windsurf * The Maor at Felixstowe –  mainly cloudy.

Foil – 17.94  knot max, 14.06 knot ave., 2.95  knot hour, 14.25 knot mile, 12.45 km., 7.12 knot alpha.

Starboard Freeride 150 and a Evolution Freeride foil with a Tushingham 6.5.

After yesterdays super windy short session where I was way overpowered with 4.2 I was looking forward to a mellow foil in 15 knots from the SW with sunshine and was once again let down on all counts! I headed down to The Manor around 9.30 to check things out, there looked enough for my 6.5 but the wind was more offshore than expected:( By the time I had my wetsuit on the wind was west and looked too light for the sail I had rigged so I sat on the rock groyne hoping things would improve! A winger launched further down the beach and did get flying but it was certainly still only marginal but I decided to give it a go. I did get up and flying on the first long run out but floundered back being way under, I did get flying a few times but it was not great. The wsw then switched west again and dropped really light and I had a slow wobble back to pack up, another one star session. A stronger wind forecast tomorrow but coming with showers so will have to see if I gwet out? Spent the afternoon with Mag before giving my 42nd pint of blood:)
