DUNKERBECK SPEED CHALLENGE – VIRTUAL GLOBAL TOUR 2025
General Information
The Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge Virtual Global Tour 2025 consists of three periods, each offering separate rankings. Speed sailing is pure motivation—anyone, anywhere in the world, can enter and compete for fun and motivation. Make sure you register correctly to be eligible!
Event Periods
- Period 1: 01.04.2025 - 31.05.2025 Gran Canaria Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge
- Period 2: 01.07.2025 - 31.08.2025 Summer Edition
- Period 3: 01.10.2025 - 30.11.2025 The Third
Each period will have its own winners and rankings based on postings on:

This year, it's even easier to participate thanks to our partner WATERSPEED APP - for Apple Watch and NEW: ANDROID as well. This means that you can download the app on your watch, record your session and upload it straight to GP3S.
Every registered windsurf spot is valid. Just switch on your GPS, go to the water, and sail as fast as you can.
Categories
Fin Discipline Rankings:
- Open Male & Female
- Grand Master (51-60 years)
- Super Master (61-70 years)
- Ultimate Master (71-99 years)
- Youth (0-10 years)
- Junior (11-14 years)
- Junior Plus (15-18 years)
For other disciplines, only the top three riders will be ranked per category. If fewer than three competitors complete the discipline, they will be ranked in the Open category.
Registration & Participation
- Register as a user on www.gps-speedsurfing.com (GP3S).
- Sign up for the event Gran Canaria Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge.
- By creating an account on GP3S, all participants agree to the terms and conditions, allowing DSC to share session data for rankings and send event-related information.
- Upload your session to be included in the ranking. DSC reserves the right to determine participation eligibility.
Rules & Ranking
- The event follows current GPS measurement standards and rules.
- Ranking is based on the average speed over 250 meters.
- Sessions must be uploaded on the same day or by 31.05.2025 (23:59 CET) at the latest.
- All GPS tracks must be available for verification by event organizers.

- All approved devices listed on www.gps-speedsurfing.com are allowed.
- NEW: The Waterspeed App for Apple Watch allows easy participation. Simply download the app, record your session, and upload it to GP3S.

- Each participant is responsible for their own safety and must have adequate insurance.
- The organizer accepts no liability for accidents, rescues, or damages.
