Friday 16th February – Windsurf ** River Orwell at Levington Marina – sunny periods and mild.
Foil – 17.96 knot max, 16.64 knot ave, 6.28 knot hour, 14.89 knot mile, 19.92 km., 14.21 knot alpha.
Starboard Freeride 150 and a Tushingham Storm 6.5m.
Today looked promising with a nice breeze from the west, sunny and very mild so hoped to get out foiling at Levinngton. The breeze was slow arriving so I had time to do my exercises then arranged to meet up with Robert at the marina. With the wind picking up I decided to check the conditions stopping off at the Trimley churches to take some pics of the lovely daffs and snowdrops arriving at the marina at 11.30. The tide was pretty low but there was a good breeze so I set up the board and went with 6.5 while Robert rigged 6m. I launched in lovely sunshine and quickly flow out into the middle of the river but the wind seemed to be in a narrow area so did several short runs on the corner, I then had a couple of decent runs down to Felixstowe docks before the wind went really patchy so we called it a day another really average session but the weather was great:)
