This is the last day of wind for at least a week so I was keen to get out on the water but sadly rain was also forecast and I hate sailing in the rain! The southerly wind was there early, gusting over 20 knots so I headed down to The Manor at 8.30 but it was pretty uninspiring gloomy, wet and lumpy so I decided to give that a miss and headed over to Levington where the tide was still fairly low with light drizzle. That eased so I set up riggig the largest sail I had with me my 6.5, a few tacks and I was out into deep water and the session was Levington at its worst being very gusty flying in patches:( The highlight was a fly over by a large flock geese heading to Loompit Lake and some diving terns and with the wind turning even lighter I headed back to the van, I had been joined by a winger and a windsurfer both struggling I the light wind! After a quick snack the end seemed to pick up, the sun even made an appearance so I headed again and once again got flying in patches so time to call it a day and head for home!
